Our installation of new officers for FY 2020 was held last month at the Post. District 10 Commander, Richard Cameron, installed the new officers of Post 22. Following the installation a delicious meal was served by John Laaperi. A list of current officers is located on our Legion home page.

Next up to report on is the witches walk which was a huge success. I don't know what was in those witches brew cocktails, but those brooms were on fire! The annual event is sponsored by the Whitman VFW Post 697. Check out your favorite witch!
Our chili cook off has been postponed until Saturday, November 23rd at 1 PM. A $10 entry fee is required and prizes will be awarded to the best chili. See Jake Ellis at the Post if you require further details.
Don't forget Red Shirt Fridays in support of out troops deployed overseas. Receive twenty-five cents off all beverages if you are wearing a red shirt.
Also, our next meat raffle will be held on Friday, October 25th at 7 PM. The kitchen, which is staffed by our Legion Riders, opens at 6 PM. Stop by and support your Post. The public is always welcomed.
Membership to the American Legion is now open to all honorably discharged veterans. Monthly meetings are held on the second Monday at 7 PM. Our 2019 Student Trooper recipient, Sarah Jacobs, recently sent Post 22 a thank you note along with a picture. Her goal is to become a state trooper. Hopefully she will give Post 22 members a discount on speeding tickets!!

Please join us on Friday evening, September 27th for our next meat raffle which starts at 7 pm. Our kichen, which is staffed by the Post 22 Riders, opens at 6 pm. Remember you can't win if you don't play.

We are holding our 1st Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, October 19th from 1 pm to 5 pm, five dollar entry fee, winners take all. We hope to have some raffles. Please contact John Lamore at the Post for details.
Next up is our Chili Cook off to be held on Saturday, November 2nd, starting at 1 pm. Time to dust off those award winning chili receipes. This event is still in the planning stages. Jake Ellis will have more information as it become available.
